Train, Ferry and Plane Transfers to the Isle of Skye

Pickup and drop off from Uig ferry port, the Isle of Skye’s gateway to the Outer Hebrides.

Pick up and drop off at Armadale ferry port at the south end of the island, where the ferry crosses to  the Scottish mainland at Mallaig. This is where you could board the Jacobite steam train for Fort William, passing Loch Morar,  the deepest loch in Scotland, which according to legend has its own monster. The train will be crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct. This was used in the Harry Potter series of films, showing the Hogwarts Express crossing on its way to the school.

If you want to continue your journey with my company after reaching Fort William, we will give a revised price for  your destination.

Pick up or drop off at Kyle of Lochalsh railway station. This is where you will get the train for Inverness. From Inverness you can travel North up to Caithness , where you can catch a ferry for the Orkney Isles at Scrabster, Gills bay or John 0’ Groats, or you can go south to Glasgow or Edinburgh and beyond, or east to Aberdeenshire, either by bus or train, where you can catch the ferry for the Shetland Isles.

Pick up or drop of at all Scottish Airports to or from Skye. These include Inverness at Dalcross, Edinburgh at Ingliston, Glasgow at Paisley, and Prestwick.
